Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is eSarkari a government website?
No. eSarkari is a completely independent informational resource created by a private team. We are not affiliated with the Government of India, any state government, or any government department. We do not charge fees, collect personal documents, or process applications. Our sole purpose is to point citizens to genuine, official government web portals and provide clear step-by-step guidance on how to use them.
Is eSarkari free to use?
Yes, eSarkari is 100% free. We do not charge any fee for accessing our guides, using our search features, bookmarking services, or viewing document checklists. All content on eSarkari is available to everyone without any subscription, paywall, or premium tier.
Do I need to login or create an account here?
No login is ever required on eSarkari. Your saved bookmarks and document checklist statuses stay privately inside your own browser's local memory (localStorage). We never ask you to create an account, provide your email, or register in any way. Your data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Can I apply for a government service through eSarkari?
No. eSarkari does not process any applications. When you click the "Visit Official Portal" button on any guide page, you are taken directly to the official government website where the actual application, payment, and submission happens. We only provide informational guidance to help you prepare before visiting the official portal.
What should I do if a government portal link is broken?
Every guide page has a "⚠️ Report Outdated Link" button right below the guide content. Clicking it notifies our verification team, and we verify and update the URL within 24–48 hours. You can also reach us via the Contact Us page to report broken links or provide feedback.
How can I view the website in Hindi or my regional language?
Click the "🌐 भाषा" button in the top navigation bar. This activates Google Translate, which allows you to view the entire website in Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, and many other languages. Note that translated content is machine-generated and may not be 100% accurate for technical terms.
How often is the information on eSarkari updated?
We review and update our guides regularly, especially when official government portals change their URLs, fee structures, or application procedures. Each guide page displays a "Last Updated" date so you can see when it was most recently verified. However, government policies can change without notice, so we always recommend checking the official portal for the latest information before submitting any application.
How do I bookmark a guide for later?
On every guide page, you will find a "Bookmark" or heart (♡) icon. Click it to save the guide to your personal bookmarks list. You can view all your bookmarked guides anytime by visiting the Bookmarks page from the navigation menu. Bookmarks are stored locally in your browser and will persist across visits until you clear your browser data.
Does eSarkari work offline?
Yes! eSarkari is built as a Progressive Web App (PWA). On supported browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox on Android), you can install eSarkari on your home screen like a regular app. Once installed, previously visited pages will be available offline, so you can review guide steps, checklists, and portal information even without an active internet connection.
Is my personal data safe on eSarkari?
Absolutely. eSarkari does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, Aadhaar, PAN, or any other personal information. All user preferences (bookmarks, checklist progress, theme settings) are stored entirely in your browser's local storage on your device. For more details, please read our Privacy Policy.
