eSarkari.online is an independent, non-government public informational guide designed to simplify the complex web of Indian citizen services. Founded in 2024 by a team of civic technology enthusiasts based in India, eSarkari was born out of a simple frustration: why is it so hard for ordinary citizens to find the right government form, understand eligibility criteria, and locate the correct official portal?

Navigating multiple official portals across 28 states, 8 Union Territories, and dozens of central ministries is often confusing, time-consuming, and riddled with outdated information. Millions of Indians — especially those in rural and semi-urban areas — end up paying unnecessary fees to middlemen and cyber cafe agents simply because they cannot find the correct government website or understand the application process.

eSarkari solves this by aggregating step-by-step instructions, eligibility requirements, necessary document checklists, accurate fee structures, processing timelines, and verified official portal links — all in one centralized, fast, mobile-friendly, and completely free platform. We currently cover over 610 government services across all Indian states and Union Territories.

Our Story & Why We Built This

The idea for eSarkari emerged when our founder, while helping a family member apply for a simple domicile certificate, discovered that the process involved visiting three different government websites, downloading forms from one portal, uploading them to another, and calling a helpline to understand the fee structure — a process that took nearly two full days of research.

We realized that if an educated, tech-savvy person struggled this much, millions of Indians with limited internet literacy must face far greater challenges every day. That realization became eSarkari's founding mission: no Indian citizen should need a middleman to access their own government services.

Since our launch, we have methodically cataloged government services state by state, verifying each portal link, documenting each step of the application process, and cross-referencing eligibility criteria with official government notifications and circulars.

• Regular Link Verification: We periodically check all outbound portal links to ensure they remain active and point to the correct official pages. Users can also report broken or outdated links using the feedback button on every guide page.
• Fee & Timeline Cross-Referencing: Application fees, processing times, and eligibility criteria are cross-referenced with the latest official government orders, circulars, and notifications published on state and central government websites.
• Community Feedback Integration: Our built-in feedback and Q&A system allows users to flag inaccuracies, ask questions, and share their real-world application experiences, which helps us continuously improve guide accuracy.
